Human Technology Consortium"

In order to develop science-based genuine digital human manikins assuming a
rigid link model, information on the mechanical properties of the human body
is indispensable. Human body properties include body dimensions
(anthropometric data), body segment parameters such as mass, center of
gravity, and moment of inertia, as well as passive joint properties. When
the human body is described using a more detailed musculo-skeletal model,
the structural information of musculo-skeletal system, visco-elasticity of
muscles, and material properties of bones and soft tissues are also required.
Numerous studies have been published on human body properties. We surveyed
the literature on body dimensions, passive joint properties
and body segment parameters
, and have compiled the information on

and biomechanics; however, it may be more difficult for researchers of
