WEAR: World Engineering Anthropometry Resource

WEAR is

WEAR logo

In globalized modern societies, we need to consider worldwide human body variations in designing industrial products and public space.

However, it is not easy to obtain the international anthropometric databases. Moreover, it has not been established to obtain the representative dimensions or shapes from the database and to utilize for product design.

WEAR, an NPO, was launched to provide solutions for the international anthropometric database and their usage. Experts from 10 countries on both traditional and 3-D anthropometry were involved in WEAR. The organization of WEAR is located in France and it is registered as NPO under the French law.
